A nice weekend

After a long and restful weekend, it is back to work and school. I have been rediscovering the joys of God's nature every morning, as I get out and walk/jog on the hill we live on. It is so beautiful to be out in the chill of the morning and hear the birds singing again. Winter tried to prove itself yesterday, by snowing like crazy for about 10 minutes, but it quickly dissipated, and the sun came back through. Today looks like it will be pretty chilly, but the majority of the rest of the week should be in the 50s.

We were delighted to find out that our good friends Joe and Megan will be tying the knot in exactly one week from when we do! And to make it even more neat, we will already be in Maine on our honeymoon, so it won't be like we have to travel. So much excitement floating around!!!

Wedding Website

Hello All! We have been working on a wedding website that would offer the various details that are important. ; ) It is an easy way to put the details all in one place. You can leave us comments or ask us questions there. It is still in the works. I need to motivate Adam to fill in his information. Guys.... : ) There is also an option on the homepage to subscribe to it so that any time we make a change or add information you will now. ; )
Anyways, here is the link:
 Enjoy!

Lately...

Ok, so I have been not so faithful in keeping this thing updated. We are still waiting on the house deal. We were recommended to a different mortgage broker and have been pre-apporoved for the long. The actual approval will be applied for, but we won't know for a couple weeks. So long to wait! The rest of the plans are coming along though. I will try to do better about updating. ; ) Otherwise, catch me on facebook!

Understanding

God's ways are mysterious at times. Just when you think you might be grasping what He is after, you turn another corner and face a different challenge. The house we have been looking at and praying seems out of our reach. Unless God can work a miracle and bend the branch a little lower, it seems lost. This is understandable, because we knew God would show His will concerning the thing. Hard not to be the least bit of disappointed, though. Who knows, maybe something will change. Only God knows.

On a happier note, I was ecstatic last night to find out that our good friends Joe Lapoint and Megan Souza are engaged!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them last year at Southern, and greatly miss them now. We couldn't be happier for them! Now, may God just lead them to somewhere closer by.....

For now, tata.

Prayers please

Hello all. I just wanted to take a minute to update on what has been going on and ask for your prayers as we need them all! :) I was considering not posting anything about this until we knew for sure, but it seemed to make much more sense to speak now in that we could use as many prayers as possible. We were made aware of a house in a nice location just last week. The owner's wife died just two weeks ago and he just wants out. There are several other details that make the situation more complex, but God knows what they are. I ask for all of your prayers, because after we went to a class on how to buy a house last night, we talked with a lady banker and have an appointment to meet with her tonight at 5:00. If you think of it, please pray that God's will be done. We know that if this doesn't work out, it is obviously because He has better plans for us. Thank you all for the prayers!

Planning!!!

So the wonderful wedding planning has commenced! Actually, it started the very first night we were engaged, when we got to Adam's house and broke the news, his mom started rolling off the questions. So we started coming up with answers! So far we have picked out colors, the bridesmaid dresses, my dress!, invitations, got the invitations almost ready, got the guest list all together, picked out a tux we like, thought about flowers, and I'm sure a dozen other things. : ) It is amazing. It has only been a week and a half so far, but we have been so blessed to have so much help! God is amazing! I have been working closely with my Mom with planning things, and Gail has been giving us lots of ideas. Adam is enjoying the planning just as much! We even have people on the lookout for us for apartments!!! God really is paving the way for us, because things have been falling into place, especially those that we have prayed specifically about, and we are not feeling the stress that normally accompanies wedding plans. I know I know, we are only just beginning! But even in the more busy months ahead, I know God will be just as faithful to see us through. : ) Oh, and we have the finalized bridesmaids and groomsmen picked out! So, that means there will probably be around 5 girls staying at my house sometime the week before the wedding!!! Fun stuff!!! What could be better? Spending time with girlfriends before the big day! : ) I love you guys!!!

That is about it for now. I will keep up this blog as more plans come out. : ) God Bless!!!

Engaged!!!!!!!!

Well everyone, after 3 1/2 years of dating, and 5 years of being friends, and knowing each other for our ENTIRE lives.....we are officially engaged! I know this comes as no surprise to most, if not all of you, but I wanted you all to know from me, or Adam, if we can help it. (Though our families are very excited so I wouldn't be surprised if you heard it from one of them. : )

For the curious minds out there, I will give a brief rundown of how it went. For those of you who know us well, you know that we are each other's best friends, so naturally we don't keep secrets from each other very well. Needless to say, I knew the day it would happen, as well as how, since Adam more or less asked me to help plan it. Thinking back, we wouldn't have it any other way. : ) We had planned a late celebration of our anniversary date for yesterday, February 1, 2009. So we headed off to Equinox pond, to "walk around." While we were standing next to the pond, in awe of the beautiful scenery, Adam got down on both knees, and said those magic words..."Would you......please......marry me?!" I said "Yes!" of course! We then went out to dinner at Garlic John's in Manchester, where we pondered what had just happened, and let it begin to sink in. So then we headed down to Adam's parents to break the news, and after the initial "What?!"s, they were thrilled! So then after we talked about some details, we headed up to my parents house to share with them the news they were already expecting. From there we have been calling and telling people, and it sinks in more with every minute! We are thrilled, and loving the idea and the planning more and more! Well, since I didn't sleep much at all last night with all the thoughts flying through my head, I should really TRY to get some sleep. Anyways, I happy to tell all of you this. I will update as the plans go forward! Night all!!!
Oh, and the official date is July 12, 2009!!!!
