Thank you's and Progress

I would like to thank everyone who came to my shower or was at our house working away yesterday. It was a success!!! Thank you all for your love and support. I have to admit, I am not usually on the spot, so I had to get used to being up front, but it was fun. : ) There were actually more presents than people, thanks to many people considerately dropping off present with Gail because of not being able to attend the shower. All of this has been a huge privilege, and I am thankful to all who participated. Especially, I want to thank my Mom and Gail for all of the hard work they put into shopping, making the favors, and decorating. You guys are amazing and I love you guys!!! And while us girls were having lots of fun, much progress was going on at our house thanks to all the hard work of the guys. It looks great! It really has come a long ways in just a little over a week. Ok, so I really, really REALLY need to take some pictures! Yes, I know I am very bad at this. Thankfully, Mom took some pictures last week, so we had some while all the piles of sheetrock were still on the floor. ; ) No, I didn't get any before all the changes began because I was more than a little excited to rip out the carpets and tear out unnecessary walls. Gail commented that she had never seen a person so happen to rip and tear. Hehe, thats me! Ok, well I really well do some posting once the house now that we are back to our regular group of workers and the junk is out. : ) Hey, I don't want you all to see a dirty house! Lol.

Proud Home Owners!!!

Well everyone, after the seemingly endless waiting period of maybe yes, maybe no, the final answer is YES! Adam and I closed on our first home yesterday, April, 30, 2009. From the very beginning, we had been praying that God's will would be done with the whole situation, and it was so beautiful to see it work out. Even the lawyer was commenting on how smooth a deal it was. Both parties were very happy, and that is the best way.

So after going through a mound of papers, we came back to Jim and Gail's to celebrate with pizza and grinder for me. Then we promptly headed up to our house, and began the remodeling process. : ) There was ripping and tearing of carpets, taking down curtains, getting rid of some old stuff left behind, and taking out mini trees out of the garden. Lots of work to be done, but we praise God for all the help that we have. God really made the whole thing happen.
